TACOMA, Wash. — Valeo Vocation is proud to serve people with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences in the Tacoma and Pierce County area. Some of them are homeless, and others need help finding steady, full-time employment to stay in their homes.

Leo G. has been homeless in the past but now proudly touts his ability to pay rent.

It hasn’t been easy. The cost of living is rising quickly around Tacoma. He moved to the area from Florida a few years ago with family and had trouble finding anything longer than temporary employment.

Leo came out of Washington’s RISE program with valuable skills and training and Valeo Vocation was able to help him secure steady employment which he is working hard to turn into a permanent, full-time job.

After seeing how his and other lives have been impacted by employers hiring from Valeo, Leo said he encourages more businesses to partner with this new, important social enterprise giving hard workers a chance to get ahead.

“Just a chance, man. That’s all it is,” Leo said. “It’ll help a person get on his feet.”
